Two new routes from Cork for Summer 2019

Today we’re announcing our Summer 2019 schedule at Cork Airport. We’re really pleased to unveil two new brand routes from Cork: to Dubrovnik and Nice. Dubrovnik is an increasingly popular summer destination in southern Croatia fronting the Adriatic Sea, while Nice remains one of France’s leading summer hotspots.

The latest route expansion underlines our commitment to Cork. Aer Lingus is the largest airline operating at Cork Airport, both in terms of frequency of flights and seat capacity. Across the year, we operate flights from Cork Airport to 23 destinations. Next summer, we’ll increase capacity from Cork to 1,063,000 seats; that’s up 4% on Summer 2018.

The announcement was made at the inaugural Cork to Lisbon flight today. We’re also announcing news that the Cork to Lisbon route will be available all year round.

We have a proven track record of servicing a broad array of European destinations from Cork. Each new Aer Lingus route opens up new travel opportunities for the people of Cork for both leisure and business, as well as providing huge inbound tourism opportunities for visitors from South of France, Croatia and Portugal. We remain committed to enhancing our offering from Cork Airport in the coming years.”

We also released our 2019 Summer Schedule for Shannon Airport today. Continued connectivity from Shannon Airport to popular European destinations Faro and Malaga is returning from May 2019. Operating four times weekly and three times weekly respectively, the two routes will cater for the strong demand in the South West for some European summer sun.

We’ll continue our three times daily service to London Heathrow as part of Shannon’s summer schedule while continuing to drive connectivity to North America with Shannon-Boston and Shannon-New York routes operating daily.

In the past two years, we’ve had a 20% increase in the number of Aer Lingus guests through Shannon Airport, with over half a million Aer Lingus guests using Shannon last year alone.

Routes are available to book now on, so why not take a look and grab a bargain for Summer 2019!
