The Caribbean’s calling! Our first non-stop service from Manchester to Barbados takes off

Today our brand new direct service from Manchester to Barbados took to the skies for the  first time. Aer Lingus flight EI 31 (Airbus A330-300) departed Manchester for Bridgetown at 10.15am.

The celebrations kicked off this morning at check-in in true Barbadian style with a live performance from Band One, a local Barbadian steel band. Passengers can look forward to white sandy beaches, sparkling turquoise seas and and exploring buzzing Bridgetown.

We’ll be operating two weekly flights to Barbados from Manchester – every Wednesday and Saturday until the end of April, as well as an additional weekly flight each Friday from 30 October.

Today’s inaugural marks the start of our new non-stop transatlantic services from Manchester. From 01 December 1 we’ll begin operating our first ever non-stop direct flights from Manchester to New York’s JFK airport.

And on 11 December, we start our third new route from Manchester to Orlando. Holidaymakers can look forward to visiting sunny Florida, the home of Disneyland and Universal Studios.

Fares on our transatlantic services operating from Manchester start from £199 each-way, as part of a return journey.
