8 street foods in London that you will definitely not want to miss

Street food, with its rough and ready nature, is some of the best food you can get when done right.

However, it can be incredibly disappointing when done wrong, so you need to know exactly where to go.

When you’re going to visit someone abroad, those trips invariably revolve around going out and sampling the local delicacies – and if that’s what makes you happy, then we want to help you out.

We’ve done a little digging and found some of the best purveyors of street food in London, which is easier than ever to visit right now with Aer Lingus operating up to 30 flights per day direct to London from Cork, Shannon, Knock, Belfast and Dublin.

1. Bleecker Burger

Founded by a real New York burger maestro, you’ll find this gem in three locations: at Old Spitalfields Market, at their new 12-seater takeout joint in Victoria Street, and at 16 Bloomberg Arcade in EC4N. We’ll be damned if it’s not one of the best street burgers you’ll ever experience.

2. Crosstown Doughnuts

We wouldn’t recommend even thinking about sharing these with anyone. It’s time to be greedy here, because after one bite you won’t be able to stop until that doughnut is utterly devoured. They even have aΒ Guinness Chocolate with Baileys Ganache limited edition doughnut for St. Patrick’s Day. Fair play.

3. Deeney’s

Toasties galore and they’re so good. These guys take the simple pleasure that is a toasted sandwich and bring it to another level entirely.

4. Grill My Cheese

Seriously, who doesn’t love a bit of grilled cheese? Hot, gooey, cheesy goodness overflowing from a sandwich is the stuff dreams are made of.

Ribs, ribs, ribs – if the mere mention of the word gets you salivating, we can guarantee you’ll want to visit this joint.

If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll want to visit this little beaut for the final word in loaded doughnuts.

8. Pizza Pilgrims

Pizza is at its best when at its most simple. These guys endeavour to bring you unpretentious pizza, made with the best ingredients from a wood-fired oven. We assure you that you’ll be leaving as one satisfied customer.
