Donegal started the year on a high on the back of National Geographic Traveller naming the county the “coolest place on the planet” to visit. Donegal’s recent fame has been enhanced by the presence of Star Wars using the county’s natural wilderness to film scenes for the upcoming installment; Episode VIII.

We are also very happy to report a 17% increase in guest numbers on the Donegal-Dublin route in the first quarter of 2017. We have operated Donegal-Dublin route on a Public Service Obligation (PSO) basis since February 2015 and in this time we have seen consistent growth on the route. We fly from Donegal to Dublin twice daily, in addition to flying a Donegal-Glasgow service up to four times per week. A total of over 40,000 passengers flew from Donegal in 2016, with July the busiest month of the year.
