The 7 most Instagrammable spots in Chicago

The Windy City is one of the most iconic places in America, so when it comes to Instagram spots, there are plenty to choose from. Get your filters and hashtags ready, here are my favourite places in the city.

The Bean Chicago

1. Cloud Gate (aka The Bean)
There are few photos as fun as the ones taken at Cloud Gate — a.k.a. “The Bean” — Millennium Park’s colossal metallic sculpture from British artist Sir Anish Kapoor. Consider it the OG Instagram spot for tourists and locals alike, thanks to its mirror-like finish (making selfies a breeze).

Flamingo Rum Club

2. Flamingo Rum Club
It’s all about Caribbean-inspired creations at this River North rum club, where cabaret happens Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday until the wee hours. Just when you think it can’t get any more fun, head outside, where a wall of painted flamingos greets guests for a picture-perfect shot.

Chicago Murals

3. Greetings from Chicago Mural
Visitors and locals alike can’t resist a picture in front of this Logan Square mural, a collaboration between graffiti artist Victor Ving and photographer Lisa Beggs.

Cindys Rooftop Chicago

4. Cindy’s Rooftop
The views don’t get any better than they do at rooftop restaurant Cindy’s, where you can take in everything the city skyline has to offer, from Lake Michigan and Millennium Park to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion and Buckingham Fountain. Treat yourself to one of the cocktails from the menu for your shot.

Willis Tower

5. Skydeck at Willis Tower
If you’re not too nervous to step out onto these observation boxes — and handle your phone in the process — you’ll be able to get one of the most exciting shots that the city has to offer. Suspended 103 floors up, these skyline views are unparalleled.

Chicago River Walk

6. Chicago Riverwalk
This 1.25-mile pedestrian pathway gives you a whole new view of Chicago’s gorgeous architecture. You can either stay on land or take to the water (on a kayak or taxi) for some one-of-a-kind photos of the city.

Wrigley Field Chicago

7. Wrigley Field
Built in 1914, Wrigley Field, otherwise known as the Friendly Confines, is one of the oldest, most iconic baseball stadiums in the country. No matter where you sit, you’ll get a cool shot of the stadium and the fans. If you don’t fancy a game – Wrigley Field is just as cool from the outside.
